| 2007/2008 Alternates |
| Tam Khat Thai, Brenham
Acupuncture
to Dr. Tam Khai Thai is as natural as his second skin. He learned the
essentials of ACUPUNTURE from a family tradition that had been
passed-on from generations to generation. At a tender age of nine, his
first teacher was his paternal grandmother, who practiced Oriental
Medicine in Vietnam. He then had four other teachers/mentors, who
refined his skills not just in acupuncture but also in martial arts.
He
was one of the few pioneer acupuncturists licensed in Texas. When the
American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (“ACAOM”) opened
in Houston, Dr. Tam Khai Thai was one of the original professors. Aside
from being a current board member, he had been a former board member
and treasurer of TAAOM in its formative years. Nationally, he is also a
concurrent active member of the American Association of Acupuncture and
Oriental Medicine (AAAOM).
Today he operates two
clinics: one located in Brenham and another in Conroe. These clinics
had been established since 1985. All these years, his specialty also
covers acupuncture treatment for horses with his ardent partner Dr.
James Brown, DVM in Brenham, TX.
